The DJ Quentin Story

I got my first Breakbeat / Jungle- Tape in 1994 and was infected to the Breakbeat- Virus at once. In 1996, i bought a pair of turntables (Technics 1210 MK2) together with an Ecler- Mixer and began to spin the wheels. At this time, i only bought and played Drum & Bass / Jungle Vinyl, but i still loved the Happy Hardcore Sound. In 1999/2000, Drum & Bass went to dark in my opinion. Many people around me began to play Drum & Bass. So i was looking for another thing and came back to my old love Happy Hardcore.

In 2001, i met my mate Savior, who also lived in my hometown Braunschweig. We established happybass.com, a german Happy Hardcore / Breakbeat- Community to push the german scene. We offered DJ- mixes, Party- Pictures, Videos, Scene-news and a community board. During the Years, happybass.com went to the Happy Hardcore portal No.1 in Germany. We had 2 Hack- Attacks and other Problems in the past, but we´ll not get down :) At the moment, we´re working on the updated Version of this Site and will come back in 2009.

In 2002, i got my 2nd Booking for an Happy Hardcore Set at United Dance in Bremen, presented from North Germany´s Promotor Lifeline- Promotions. From then, many bookings from several Promotors followed. During the Years, I played at many Parties all over Germany and Austria like DREAMLAND, ONE NATION, INNOVATION- RAVENATION, HARDCORE INTENTION to name a few..

I´m interested in many Styles of Hardcore like UK, Happy, Freeform, Hard Dance & Scouse and of course Drum & Bass. Two years ago, i tried my first steps to produce Hardcore, but it will take a while to get on the Level i preferred to. Now i´ve joined the Global Hardcore Alliance and hope to develop my international network.
